Childhood Santa Rosa, CA home on Austin Way, near the original “Town and Country” shopping Center. With the exception of the skylight and sans the fishpond (in the back), it’s pretty much the same. We had the most exquisite goldfish and water lilys. I lived there with my parents, John and Alice Heriza and two older sisters, our cat Homo Sica and dog, a daschund, Snappsy. My father owned a Logging Operation with his brother,Rudy; my mother was a wonderful devoted mother and creative homemaker, who later became an Office Manager for Liberty Mutual.
Santa Rosa was known to be a favorite shooting location for legendary Producer/Director Alfred Hitchcock. It was the home of cartoonist and famed “Peanuts” creator Charles Schultz. Also the home of the beautiful and lush Luther Burbank gardens, a national landmark that my mother and I often visited.

Visiting my (maternal) grandmother, Maude Tutin Berry at her Portland,Oregon home during Easter. (Honing in on my favorite doll’s face). My grandmother was very devout in her Protestant faith. She grew the most beautiful roses. She lived a long active and mentally vital life. Painted the interior of her house at age 92. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 102.

Amanda is a vigorous advocate and spokesperson for responsible and respectful healthcare for the elderly in the UK. She is going to be UK correspondent for “The Fixers”, with Dr Yoga Reality Show in development with Natural9 Entertainment. Dame Dorothy’s son, Nick Waring is also a respected Shakespearean, stage and film actor. He also received his Law Degree. In 1970 I had the great blessing and honor of meeting my globally legendary “Woodstock” Guru, Yoga Master, Author, Ecumenical leader and founder of Integral Yoga International, H.H. Sri Swami Satchidananda, with whom I studied and became certified in Yoga, was initiated as a Sanyasan, and served for 9 years as a Yoga monk. Prior to meeting and studying with my Guru, I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art’s degree in Theatre from the famous groundbreaking Immaculate Heart College (Corita Scott King) in Los Angeles, near Griffith Park, home of the first Peter Max love-in’s. I later completed post graduate studies in Alternative Medicine (acupressure/Myofascial Therapy). Subsequently, I studied and worked (briefly) as an actor and singer in NYC; later as a singer-songwriter and recording artist with Homecoming/Neon Dreams Records,(Fndr:JohnStewart); Integral Yoga teacher and therapist, (Travell Myofascial and medical Acupressure Therapy), Author (Penguin/Tarcher), writer and producer. I have had the honor of getting to know and work with legendary award winning playwright, Megan Terry; Oscar winning Producer/Director, Milos Forman (“Taking Off); Grammy honored folk legend John Stewart (Kingston Trio, DayDream Believer, Gold et al), his award winning wife & her BFF from childhood, Buffy Ford Stewart; legendary Jazz musician Alice Coltrane, and her other Award winning BFF’s, Award winning Actors, Lindsay Crouse; and Diane Ladd with whom I now co-own property in Yogaville, Va; I am a medical collegue of world renowned author and Physician Dean Ornish and producing associate of Award winning T.V Producers Carol Sherman (Natural9 Entertainment) and (PBS) Jim Boyd. I have had the privilege of meeting and treating other global legends including Candice Bergen, Bob Dylan, George and Olivia Harrison, Jane Fonda, Angela Lansbury, Jerry Zucker and Oliver Stone. For 5 years I served as the Integral Yoga Instructor for Jane Fonda’s famous, legendary groundbreaking “Jane Fonda Workout Studio” on Robertson Blvd in Beverly Hills, Ca, where Ms. Fonda pioneered the fitness movement. Subsequently, I created the Yoga Cardiac Program for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a clinical adaptation of the traditional Integral Yoga Teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda and served as their Yoga Cardiac consultant for over 15 years; At the invitation of famed renowned Publisher, Jeremy Tarcher, (Timothy Leary, Baba Ramdass, et al) father of my childhood icon, “lambchop”, I authored “Dr Yoga, Medical Benefits of Yoga” for Penguin/Tarcher books, based on my program and work at Cedars-Sinai.
